Day 6, December 9, 7:01 a.m.

It snowed just enough overnight to make conditions a bit tricky this morning. I wore the wrong boots and headed up the wrong road. The shoulder was icy, when there was a shoulder at all. All of this is to say that just when you think you’ve got it all figured out there’s a good chance someone (or something) is going to come along and throw you a curveball. Today made me realize the immensity of the mistake I might have made in committing to this project at the outset of winter. #MeetingMorning
